Professional Information

I am particularly interested and specialized in legal and court interpretation. I took time and worked toward becoming a Certified Vietnamese Interpreter. I am not Certified yet. However, the Oral Certification Examination is at present not available for me to take again since I took this Exam twice in Atlanta, Georgia, with two different packages of materials. Therefore, I may retain the Conditionally Approved Vietnamese Court Interpreter License permanently unless there is some change for the Vietnamese Oral Certification Exam with the Commission on Interpreters. The Certification Examination comprises two important exams, which are a written exam and an oral exam, and two oher requirements. The written examination tests English vocabulary and phrases, idioms, synonyms, antonyms, at a high level of education, legal terminology and phrases, Code of Ethics for (Court) Interpreters, and proper reactions and behaviors of interpreters in courtroom situations.
