I strive to consistently provide accurate interpretations and document translations while remaining sensitive to cultural and situational considerations and adhering to the strictest standards of ethics and professionalism. I hold a Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from Middlebury Institute of International Studies and am Administrative Hearing and Court Certified in California. I have more than 20 years of experience in translation and in providing consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in the medical, legal and conference arenas. I am a Liaison Interpreter for the U.S. Department of State, traveling on assignment with international visitors and interpreting on a broad range of topics. Previously, I have provided instruction in interpretation at the University of California San Diego Extension, have served as liaison to the U.S. Immigration Courts in San Diego, as well as evaluated, trained, tested and developed training materials for immigration court interpreters.
