Professional Information

I am a Sworn/Spanish-government-approved Translator and Interpreter, certified by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (certification number 6316). I have also been trained as a professional conference interpreter at the prestigious School of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada, Spain (MA & Ph.D), and I have been working as a simultaneous interpreter on both sides of the Atlantic since 2009 and in fields such as Law/Criminal Law, Social and Environmental Justice, Plastics/Oil, Health, and Architecture. I combine my freelance job with academia. Since 2012, I have contributed to the development of different translation and interpreting Programs in US Universities (The Graduate Program at Wake Forest University, The Graduate Certificate Program at IUPUI, The Undergraduate Minor in Spanish Translation and Interpreting at UNC-Chapel Hill) and I have been an external/informal consultant to others.
