Conference Checklist: Tips for Maximizing Your Experience 

The NAJIT 39th Annual Conference offers a variety of events where you can expand your network, connect with friends, or just have fun! Here are a few tips to make your experience a remarkable one:

  • Hotel Information

    View the hotel information page for driving instructions, taxi estimates, BART information, and parking at the hotel.

  • Conference Program

    View a preview of the conference program. Each attendee will receive a printed copy when they check-in at the conference registration desk.

  • Conference App

    Download the conference app. It is a practical way to have everything at your fingertips; create your personalized schedule, easily connect with colleagues, share feedback, and more! Click below for complete details.

  • What to wear

    The dress code for the conference is business casual. Some folks dress up for the Saturday reception. Bring a sweater as the conference rooms may be cold.

  • Conference Events

    Review the complete list of conference events that are included with a Main Conference registration.

  • Photographer

    Take advantage of the professional photographer at the conference. On Friday, from Noon-5 pm, got to the Balboa room to have your headshot taken for only $10. You will receive your photo via email after the conference. First come, first served.

  • Continuing Education Credit

    Come to the registration desk to get a continuing education form. Make sure to get the correct form based on the state or organization that you would like a certificate of attendance for. See page 14 in the program for details.

  • Social Media

    Share your conference photo's on Twitter & Facebook. Hear about events as they unfold! #NAJIT2018

  • Download Session Handouts

    Use the Schedule icon in the conference app to download session handouts. A limited number of copies will be available for Saturday/Sunday sessions.


Who is the app available to?

The app is available to all registered attendees. You will receive an email from TripBuilder with your login information on June 1st. If you register after June 1st, you will receive an email within two business days.

If you do not receive an email from TripBuilder within two business days, check your spam folder before contacting NAJIT.

What devices are supported?

You can use your laptop, desktop, mobile phone, or tablet.

How do I get the app?

Search NAJIT in the Apple or Google Play stores or go to in the web browser on your device. This link will automatically detect your device type and take you to the right place to download the app.

You can also get the app by scanning this QR code with your device (the camera will scan it).

  • Show Daily: See a high-level view of daily events.
  • Social Feed: Easily connect with Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Gallery: Upload your conference photo’s and view those of other attendees.
  • Schedule: View all session descriptions, presenter bios, view and download handouts, submit session/presenter feedback, and contact the presenter.
  • My Event: Create your personal schedule for the event. Add personal meetings too!
  • Floor Plans: View the hotel room layout and the exhibitor map.
  • FAQs: See answers to common questions.
  • Overall Survey: Submit a survey on your experience at the conference.
  • Attendees: View the full list of attendees. Add them to your address book, call or email with one click!
