The NAJIT 40th Annual Conference offers a variety of events where you can expand your network, connect with friends, or just have fun! It is NAJIT’s 40th anniversary and the conference committee has added some new special pieces. All of the events below are included with your main conference registration.
NAJIT has arranged for a photographer to be available from Noon - 5 pm on Friday. They will be available to take your head shot for only $20. Receive your photo electronically. No reservations required. Don't forget to bring your dress clothes! First come, first served.
At this 'Meet and Greet' event you will have the opportunity to network with fellow conference goers. There will be designated areas for you to begin your quest for a 'high note'. Whether it is your first or your tenth time attending there will be a station for you. Come learn about the conference app, find fellow interpreters or translators, or just come and mingle! (light snacks and a cash bar will be provided)
Zumba is a Latin-inspired cardio fitness program. It combines Latin music (merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, etc.) and international rhythms with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — and resistance training. Come and enjoy this fun workout, burn calories and make new friends!
Come to the Annual Luncheon and Business Meeting to eat a fabulous lunch and hear from our Keynote speaker, Vallie Collins. Vallie will share life lessons learned from being on board US Airways Flight 1549 that crashed into the Hudson river.
Come join the fun at the Saturday Evening Reception. This is an excellent opportunity to network with fellow colleagues while enjoying great food and music. You will be introduced to the NAJIT Scholars and may have a fun photo opportunity, or two!
