What is the NAJIT Green Initiative?
The NAJIT Green Initiative is a concerted effort to minimize waste and promote eco-friendly practices at our conference. As part of this initiative, we are implementing several changes to reduce single-use plastics and disposable items.
Key Features of the Initiative:
- Elimination of Disposable Items: We will not be providing disposable cups, plates, or utensils at the conference venue. Instead, we encourage attendees to bring their own reusable items or utilize the provided washable dishes and utensils.
- Promotion of Reusable Alternatives: To support this effort, NAJIT will provide a complimentary metal water bottle to all registered attendees. Additionally, tumblers for warm drinks will be available for sale at the conference venue.
- Educational Campaign: We will raise awareness about the environmental impact of single-use plastics and the benefits of sustainable practices through signage, emails, and other communication channels.
