WHO WE ARE
Anyone with an interest in the field of interpreting and translating with a desire to support NAJIT’s efforts is encouraged to become a member.
WHAT WE DO
Promote the highest professional standards in interpreting and translating. We provide continuing education for professionals to grow their knowledge, refine their skills, and stay updated on innovations within the profession.
NAJIT seeks to identify and define issues surrounding the profession to help shape its future.
HOW WE DO IT
Through the work of volunteers, the NAJIT Board and committees seek out ways to influence legislation and support important issues of the profession.
Your membership enables NAJIT to continue to carry out its mission.
NAJIT is an organization that brings together language professionals serving deaf and hearing populations of all ethnic backgrounds and many different nationalities from around the world, including our very own Native Americans. We take pride in the diversity that characterizes our profession and the people we serve and strongly denounce and repudiate any and all acts of discrimination or violence on the basis of language, skin color, gender, physical or mental disability, national origin or ethnicity.
